East Bridgford & District Royal British Legion Women's Section
Women's Sections of
the RBL has a number of benevolent schemes where charitable assistance
can be given to ex-servicewomen and wives and wives of ex-servicemen
and their dependants.
The East Bridgford
Branch was formed in 1932 and at present we have twenty members
including two founder members.
We hold a coffee
morning each spring and in August we hold a luncheon which anyone can
attend.
In November there is
the Poppy Day Appeal which is a big operation with a house to house
collection. All monies are sent to Headquarters to be distributed.
The East Bridgford
Branch meets twice a year at the President's house, once for the AGM
and again for fundraising.
