What is the Care Group?
A group of people willing to help others
in various ways. Most of us are "good neighbours" and try to help out
whenever we can. Sometimes though help is not always there when it's
needed.
Many people live
alone and do not have family living nearby and most of us don't like to
ask for help unless it is offered first.
Who can benefit?
All residents of
East Bridgford and Kneeton, and those from nearby villages who are
registered with the East Bridgford Medical Centre.
What sort of
help?
So far we are able
to organize:
What will it cost?
To help with towards the expenses of
volunteer drivers a charge of 40p per mile will be requested for the
distance you travel in the car. There is no charge for other services.
Fixed charges apply to some journeys:

There is no charge
for journeys within East Bridgford. Drivers receive a small reimbursement from Care Group funds.
How do I get Help?

The coordinator will then contact you as soon as possible.
Please try to give at least 24 hours notice
for a transport request (unless it's an emergency)
We will do our best to help but cannot
guarantee that it will be possible on every occasion.
How do you know who is at the door?
All volunteers carry an identity card with a
photograph which you should ask to see.
